Our elders talk of the dreamtime, before the so-cal came. (pass peace pipe around). In the dreamtime life was good for duh beaver.
One day a raven came to visit duh beaver people from the land of duh bear. The raven was wise. (peace pipe-hold it in now) He said the land of duh great bear was in danger. A great evil spirit had appeared before duh bear people and told them they would be banished to duh land of ice and snow to go live amoungst duh beaver tribe. (peace pipe).
Duh bear peolpe, who were also known as duh so-cal tribe, thought going to the land of teh beaver to drink from its waters and plant their seeds was a good idea, even some of the womenfolk. So they sent there messenger the raven to duh land of the beaver. (inhale)
Duh beaver people were good. They welcome the so-cal like brothers. They live together in the great teepee they called duh teamcanada, teamcanada meaning "place to go when you don't fit in anywhere else". (peace pipe).
Duh so-cal were happy to be around so many beaver but soon duh teepee got too crowded and had a strange smell that was unknown to the beaver people. Duh so-cal saw this and because they were so greatfull to be welcomed by duh beaver, they built a great new teepee, and it was good. (peace pipe-holdit in, hold it, hold it.........)
Word of duh great teepee called teamsocaldotorg spread like a disease throughout the land. Soon many wanderers from the east came to live amoungst the beaver and socal including a great shaman called duh sandman. Duh socal never forgot duh goodness of duh beaver and decorated the teepee in duh beaver's colours and likeness. It was good and they all lived in peace in duh great teepee. (exhale)
